Scope and Objectives

The Kaizen Company is responding to the release of a Millennium Challenge Account-Call for Partnerships. The Kaizen Company is currently seeking a Finance Manager to support a potential education project which aims to improve literacy support to middle school and high school students.  

This position will be located in Tetouan, Morocco.

The Finance Manager will report to the Kaizen Home Office. S/He will be responsible for all financial aspects of the project, including collecting receipts, compiling invoices, and expenditure reporting. Please note that this position is contingent upon award of contract. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage financial and procurement systems and a set of protocols that enable transparency, accountability, and accuracy.
  • S/he will negotiate agreements with sub-grantees and subcontractors and undertake all the necessary financial administration of sub-grants and sub-contracts. S/he will provide training, as necessary, for staff and partners in aspects related to financial systems, protocols, and policies.
  • Manage and administer procurement, invoices, vendor payments, and financial accounting.
  • Report on financial expenditures, conduct bookkeeping, and maintain financial records in accordance with Moroccan law and Kaizen policies and procedures.
  • Support all project, office, event and travelling logistics by ensuring that all financial activity is appropriately documented and processed.


  • A university degree in Finance or Accounting, Master’s degree in relevant field preferred.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, MS Excel, and other accounting software.
  • At least 5-7 years as a Finance Manager, Accountant, or similar position in a development organization or NGO.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Professional-level fluency in written and spoken English
  • Strong teamwork and effective cross-cultural interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of office administration and logistics.
  • Prior experience with USAID strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in French and Arabic is required.
