Scope and Objectives

The Kaizen Company is seeking an Evaluation Team Leader for an upcoming USAID-funded project focused on the Project Appraisal Document (PAD) Evaluation in Morocco. The project seeks to conduct a performance evaluation of USAID/Morocco’s education sector, assessment of several active awards, and how these support the Development Objectives of USAID/Morocco. Anticipated to begin June 2018.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall and day-to-day management of contract activities, involving multiple tasks across multiple locations
  • Serve as the principal interlocutor between Kaizen team members and USAID
  • Responsible for overall compilation of all deliverables under the contract
  • Manage staffing, project planning, project financials, and staff direction and oversight
  • Maintain and manage the relationship with USAID
  • Collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator and Senior Statistician 
  • Lead quantitative components of the evaluation, quantitative data analysis, and cost analyses
  • Provide reports through publications, journal articles, conference presentations, and social media

Qualifications

Required

  • Master’s degree or higher in economics, statistics or related field
  • 3+ years of experience conducting quantitative research
  • Strong background and training  in quantitative research methodologies
  • Experience and knowledge of data analysis and data management techniques using STATA
  • Experience managing and coordinating complex evaluations, including evaluations of international projects
  • Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability in writing scientific papers and outcomes research reports, and ability to use research findings to evaluate program implementation and operations
  • Fluency in French in addition to English is preferred

  • Experience in the education sector in Morocco
  • Experience in MENA region
