Collaboration, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) Advisor
Kaizen is seeking a CLA Advisor to work on a short-term technical assistance (STTA) basis to support the anticipated USAID/Guatemala Metrics Activity.
The Guatemala Metrics Activity will provide support to the USAID/Guatemala Mission in three areas: 1) Evaluation Design, 2) Performance Monitoring, and 3) Learning and Adaptation. Metrics will enhance USAID/Guatemala’s systems for monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) and capacity for accountability and adaptation within projects and mechanisms.
The CLA Advisor will provide technical support on an as-needed basis. S/he will support coaching and training of the Metrics activity personnel and USAID/Guatemala staff and implementing partners to integrate CLA into existing practices. This position will report to the Kaizen home office program manager.
This is a four-year assignment anticipated to start in January of 2018. This position is contingent upon award of contract. The position will require travel to Guatemala.
Provide technical expertise to assist with planning, designing, and or/managing CLA strategies and activities. Assist in developing, capturing, sharing, and testing methods, models, and tools to advance these objectives.
Advise/guide design and implementation of mechanisms for continuous learning, collaboration, and adaptation for project staff, partners, donors, host country government counterparts, and other stakeholders
Incorporate technical, contextual and experiential learning into technical strategies, interventions, and processes
Participate as needed in senior management meetings to provide feedback/support and inform technical decisions by senior management and relevant staff.
