Project Director (MMAIF)

Kaizen is searching for a Project Director for the anticipated USAID Managing Market Access and Innovative Finance (MMAIF) activity. The purpose of the activity is for USAID to acquire support services and technical assistance on a range of market access and innovative financing activities to improve global health outcomes.
Duties
The Project Director will provide management oversight of the activity and act as the primary point of contact with USAID about day-to-day implementation and management matters relating to the contract. The Project Director must also have overall responsibility for assuring that all assistance provided under the contract is technically sound and appropriate for the needs to be addressed. The Project Director will be responsible for maintaining close coordination with USAID and managing the selection of sub-recipients for activities across a consortium through sub-contracts of grants under contract. This staff will serve as the primary point of contact with USAID on day-to-day activity implementation and management issues. They will also collaborate with project partners, USAID missions, Global Health offices and other USAID operating units on managing MMAIF and ensuring the provision of timely, relevant and high-quality services.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least ten (10) years of demonstrated relevant experience within an international development context, and a demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with international organizations; US Government agencies; and NGO partners, private sector partners, impact investors, and host country governments (including senior government officials) in low- and middle-income countries;
- Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated senior-level leadership experience (e.g. Chief of Party, Project Director, Principle Investigator, Deputy Director) for health care programs of similar magnitude and complexity; and
- At least 5 years of experience as a senior field management experience demonstrating professional interaction with senior U.S. and foreign government officials.
- Master’s degree in public health, health policy, management, international development, or business administration or a related field required.
- Fluency in English oral and written communication.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
